A Trip to Thailand
My family went on a family trip last December to Thailand. We enjoyed the traditions and beautiful views there. Most of all, the food in Thailand was the best. The price was much cheaper than Korea. We ate five meals a day when we were there! I was worried that I might not like it at first because I heard Thai food has a strong flavor, but I liked all the Thai foods. And I want to share with you some of the dishes that I liked best.
The first one is a roasted chicken dish called ‘Cherng Doi Roast Chicken’. The chicken dish is what my family first ate on our trip. It tasted like Peking duck on the outside. The chicken skin was chewy and the inside was soft. I also liked the sweet garlic sauce on it. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to go to the restaurant again on the last day of our trip. So, I can say that the chicken dish is very special to my family.
The second one is the most representative food in Thailand, Phat Thai. The restaurant we went to was very interesting. It was located in front of a large river, and there were more than fifteen cats! Some of them jumped on my lap during my meal. The Phat Thai there was the most delicious one I have ever had. There were various kinds of seafood in it. And the noodle was thicker than the other Phat Thai’s.
I will never forget the time I spent in the kingdom of tasty fruit juice, Thailand. Actually, I was looking forward to mango juice even before the trip. As I thought, their mango juice is probably the best. If I could, I’d like to live off their mango juice forever. Butterfly pea juice was good, too. It had a deep purple color. We were all surprised at its taste because it tasted just like crispy rice crust! We wanted to bring some powdered juice mix back to Korea. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find any available in the local markets.
I think traveling is the easiest way to broaden one’s mind. I hope I could continue my adventures of experiencing more of the world and life. And that’s all I’ve got to say about that! Kapunka!
