During my summer vacation, I traveled to Italy. On the first day, we went to Incheon Airport and flew to Zurich, Switzerland, where we boarded another plane to Venice. After three more hours, we finally landed in Venice and took a boat to our hotel. By then, it was already 6 p.m. in Italy. We had been traveling for 18 hours straight! After the boat ride, we checked into our hotel, Palazzo Benito. That evening, we had dinner at the hotel and took a short walk through the nearby streets.
The next day, we explored San Marco Street and visited the Palazzo Ducale. It was a gorgeous and enormous palace where we saw the Doge’s room, the church, and even the prison cells, which were surprisingly beautiful. Afterward, we ate delicious pizza and even saw a man cosplaying as Mussolini while riding a boat. Later, we returned to our hotel and spent the evening relaxing.

On the third day, we ended our tour of Venice and traveled to the Italian Alps. We stayed in a quaint little town called Cortina, surrounded by stunning mountains. For dinner, we enjoyed spaghetti, and the next day we moved on to Urtijëi. Driving through the countryside, I admired the beautiful mountain views. Our hotel in Urtijëi was large and very relaxing, and we spent three days there. Each day, I felt calm and satisfied as we explored the town and the countryside. We hiked through enormous rocky mountains, rode a lift, went ziplining, and even paraglided across the breathtaking scenery. It was both thrilling and unforgettable.

Finally, on our last day in Italy, we returned to Venice to end our trip. We had dinner along the streets of San Marco, where musicians played live music. Afterward, we returned to the hotel to watch fireworks. I felt so sad knowing our vacation was ending and that I would soon return to Korea to attend academies again. On our way back, we flew from Venice to Munich, Germany, where we had a short hour to tour the city before boarding our final flight to Incheon. When we arrived in Korea, we returned home to Daechi. I still wished I had more time in Venice, which I enjoyed the most during our trip. The memories of my trip remain vivid in my mind, and thinking back makes me want to travel to Italy again but this time without any worries.
