What Would I Do with a Million Dollars?

Imagine winning a million dollars in the lottery. How do you think you would feel? Personally, I would be hysterical with happiness. But more than the excitement, the more important question is: how would you use the money? Would you spend it just on yourself, or would you also think about helping others? I think most people would use it for essentials or to buy things that bring them joy. I would do the same — but with a few more categories! If I had a million dollars, I would divide it into four parts: essentials, a better lifestyle, helping others, and fun things just for me.
There isn’t much I really need, because I already have enough to get by. But there are still some essentials I would like to upgrade. First, I’d buy a brand-new fridge that can keep my ice cream from melting. I’d also get a new car with a smooth drive. Of course, I’d need to cover everyday necessities too like bills and living expenses.
There are so many ways I’d improve my lifestyle. First, I’d buy stocks so I can grow my money. I know it’s a risk — I could either be successful and earn more, or lose it all. But I plan to make smart investments and take the time to learn about the stock market. If it goes well, I’ll have even more to spend! With my returns, I’d buy a new house with a spacious bedroom that can fit a queen-sized bed. I wouldn’t keep it all to myself. I would donate some of my money to help others. That would not only make other people happy it would make me happy too. I’d also buy a bike to give as a gift to someone else. Since I’m a student, I’d get some useful school supplies — pencils, mechanical pencils, and a bigger desk with more room for books and stationery. For my future, I would set aside a college fund so I could go to college without worrying about how to pay for it. But I know money can disappear fast, so I’d also put some in a bank account to earn interest. That way, it could last me a long time if I use it wisely.

For my amusement and fun, Instead of going to celebrity concerts, I’d buy the biggest LEGO Ninjago set I can find — something I could build and play with for hours. I’d also get a membership and lightning pass to Lotte World, so I could go anytime I want without worrying about waiting in long lines. And finally, I’d treat my family to meals at Outback Steakhouse, my favorite restaurant. I wouldn’t go too often since it’s expensive, but with a million dollars, I could go there occasionally.
So those are the things I would spend money on if I ever won a million dollars: essentials, lifestyle improvements, helping others, and having fun. While writing this, I was surprised by how many things I would want to buy! But in real life, we don’t just get handed a million dollars. And if we ever do, we need to remember to spend it wisely.
